Cash boost for services helping to fight crime
Hampshire’s police and crime commissioner Michael Lane has handed out money to five organisations in the area.
Portsmouth domestic violence charity Aurora New Dawn will get £63,000 for an Armed Forces Advocate to help forces families with domestic abuse.

Hide AdSafer Portsmouth Partnership, run by the city council, will get £65,000 to tackle reoffending in its drug intervention scheme.
Portsmouth Abuse and Rape Counselling Service is to get £21,000 for telephone counselling.
Havant-based Southern Domestic Abuse Service will get £2,000 to aid its Freedom programme to help women break free of abuse.
And Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy will get £12,000 to help victims of crime get their confidence back. Welcoming the news, Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond said: ‘These grants are really good news for these superb initiatives.’
