A MOTHER who murdered her 19-day-old baby has lost a bid to appeal her conviction.
Nicola Brown, 44, was convicted of killing Jake Long at Winchester Crown Court.
She was jailed for life with a minimum term of 14 years after also being convicted of two charges of grievous bodily harm with intent at a trial in 2016.

Hide AdBrown, formerly of Seymour Close, Buckland, had denied the charges. When she was convicted she said: ‘I didn’t do it. I did not do it,’ before adding: ‘I won’t shut up. They’ve made a huge mistake.’
A judge refused her permission to appeal last year.
