FIREFIGHTERS were called to an overnight car fire in a ‘crumpled’ vehicle which had crashed into the central reservation on the M27.

Two appliances from Cosham and one from Fareham were deployed at around 4am to tackle the blaze which was just before the westbound exit for Wickham.

The road was temporarily closed and firefighters used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire in the Mini car.
