Portsmouth boy ready to stick the boot in and show allegiances live on national TV

And the Pompey Problem is ready to show his allegiances when he does so against hard-hitting Nicaraguan Roberto Arriaza - live on Sky Sports tomorrow night.
McKinson takes on ‘Dinamita’ on his comeback, after enhancing his reputation in a maiden professional defeat to pound-for-pound prospect Vergil Ortiz Jr in Texas four months ago.

And the former Moneyfields amateur is looking to show his Pompey allegiances to the nationwide audience when doing so.
McKinson will wear a pair of bespoke blue boots for the clash emblazoned with the star and crescent and ‘play up Pompey’.
It’s the 28-year-old’s own way of underlining his roots and connection with both the city and its football club.
McKinson said: ‘I’m buzzing with the boots.

‘Everyone knows I’m a proud Pompey boy, and it’s just my way of showing what it means for me to represent my city.
‘The professional boxing scene in Portsmouth is going really well and I feel I’m flying the flag for it.
‘I’ve got a dangerous hard-hitting opponent in front me, one I can’t underestimate.
‘I’d love to bring a huge show to the city in 2023 - but first I need to take care of business and end the year on a high.’
