RESIDENTS got their teeth into a tasty event to honour of a British culinary classic.
Eighty guests at Abbeyfield Locks Heath & District Society tucked into four 2ft wide savoury pies to mark British Pie Week. The pies were made by senior house manager for Locks Heath and Salisbury, Neil Thompson, a former Royal Navy chef.
Mr Thompson said: ‘There was a real party atmosphere and it helps to endorse the fact that we are a community while keeping alive a British culinary tradition.’
