Children and parents enjoy fun morning
The fun took place at 10.30am in the Parish of St Clare’s, Havant, yesterday – where Warren Park councillors hosted a morning of games.
The event was also attended by police, firefighters and paramedics, as well as the mayor and mayoress of Havant.

‘Everyone has had a good time and we have had a wide range of ages and talents come here today – it has very much been a successful day.’
The event is in its eighth year and usually takes place on the Warren Park school field but because of the heavy rain and high winds the fun had to be moved to inside the church.
Warren Park councillor Richard Brown said: ‘Apart from the weather disrupting a few of our normal events, today has been very well attended – it could have been a lot worse.’

However the change in venue did not stop children enjoying other games on offer.
‘We have hosted a lot of raffles such as jolly jam jars where you pay 50p a go and win a prize every time,’ said Janet Horn.
‘I think it has been a really big success today, lots of children came and we have had a lot of support from parents.’
‘I don’t think the rain has stopped the fun – we didn’t think that we would get so many people turning up but the weather has not kept them away.’
