Hide AdBlagden, of Eastern Road, Portsmouth, is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on April 7.
The charge alleges she ‘endeavoured to conceal the birth of a child of which you had been delivered by the secret disposition of the dead body of the said child’.
Police investigating the death previously said the infant was found near a yellow Primark towel at 6.18am on January 25 in 2020, near Charles Dickens’ birthplace.
A home just a few minutes’ walk from where the child was found dead was searched in May last year.
