UPDATE: Four arrested after Portsmouth '˜clown confrontation' stabbing
He was attacked in Sedgley Close, Somerstown, last night and needed emergency treatment for his wounds.
The assault took place at about 8.30pm with paramedics being alerted just after, at 8.36pm.

Hide AdToday, as residents told of their shock at what had happened, police revealed they have arrested four people.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘A 34-year-old woman, two 18-year-old men and a 17-year-old boy, all from Southsea, have been arrested and are currently in police custody.
‘The arrests come after a 28-year-old man from Portsmouth was assaulted at about 8.30pm on Thursday, October 27.
‘The man was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.’

Hide AdSenior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Linda Howard said: “It has been reported in the media that this incident was sparked by an earlier altercation involving a child wearing a clown mask.
“This is one of the lines of enquiry being followed. But at this time we would ask people not to speculate further and instead contact the investigation team if you have any information about what happened.”

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We sent a rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew to treat and adult male who sustained non life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment.’

Hide AdEdgbaston House has been sealed off by detectives while officers scoured the scene for clues to the attack.
Local reports said that witnesses said a child, who was wearing a clown mask, and her family had returned from a community centre Halloween party.
A resident of Edgbaston House, in Sedgley Close, reportedly said she heard a woman screaming the little girl’s name after the man allegedly lashed out at the youngster.
It is claimed the mum fled with her children before two men arrived and allegedly stabbed the victim .
