Performances by Solent Male Voice Choir (SMVC) are set to take place at St George’s Church in Waterlooville on October 30, Portchester Methodist Church on November 27, and The Pallant Centre in Havant on December 14.
Members are this year celebrating the group’s 60th anniversary, as the choir was founded in 1961.

SMVC has held rehearsals on Zoom but members are keen to be able to sing together in person again once lockdown rules are relaxed.
Dave McVittie, SMVC chairman, said: ‘We are all anxious to get back to singing and while we’ve been meeting on Zoom singing along to tracks selected by Huw Thomas, our musical director, it is not so effective when you can’t hear your fellow choristers.’
An accomplished musician, Huw plays piano, organ, and trumpet, and has also conducted choirs, big bands and orchestras.
He took over as musical director from Geoff Porter, who is now directing Hampshire Police Choir.

Hide AdHuw hopes to resume Tuesday night practices at The Pallant Centre in Havant from September, which would normally be held from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Dave added: ‘It will be great to get back together as a choir.
‘Singing does so much to lift the spirits and build good mental health.
‘Newcomers would be most welcome and they can get more information from our secretary, Roger Lygoe’.
