Fareham MP puts forward case for more brain tumour funding
The parliamentary debate was called following an online petition to parliament, which collected over 120,000 signatures. MPs, including Fareham’s Suella Fernandes, urged the government to spend more money on research.
Miss Fernandes told health minister George Freeman £30m to £35m should be set aside annually to fund research – and he agreed that more needs to be done.

The Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence Programme is based in the Cellular and Molecular Neuro-oncology laboratory at the University of Portsmouth.
