But, after scoring nine goals for Lincoln in the 2016-17 campaign, Raggett joked he’s out to overtake his team-mate on Pompey’s goal chart.

‘Burge has got a few and I’ve got a little bit of catching up to do on him.

‘But we’re all a team and the players are buzzing for whoever scores.
‘I’ve always pitched in a few goals. Hopefully I can start to do that again.
‘I’ve scored nine goals in a season before at Lincoln the year we went up.

‘I’ve had a few chances so it was nice to put that one away.’
Raggett explained how there’s a conviction Pompey can hurt their opponents from set-piece situations at present and he’s has strong personal belief he can threaten in those scenarios.
The defender feels the Blues have much to thank Steve Seddon and Ronan Curtis for, with their deliveries a key factor in the upturn in threat from dead balls.

Hide AdIt was Curtis who put another peach of a delivery in at Prenton Park for the 26-year-old to nod his side in front.
Raggett added: ‘They’ve both got a really delivery and that’s the most important thing with free-kicks.
‘We’ve got some big lads and if the delivery is right, which it has been, we’ll score goals.
‘Every time I go up for a corner or free-kick I feel like I’m going to score.
‘It’s been like that even when I haven’t been scoring.
‘You have to have that positivity.’
