Casino hits jackpot with new venue

A CASINO billed as the biggest on the south coast has opened its doors at Gunwharf Quays.

The new Grosvenor Casino replaces the company’s venue in South Parade, Southsea, which has closed after three decades.

Nine hundred people will fit into the new venue, which contains a restaurant, bar and a stage for live entertainment.

Bosses say all the traditional games like roulette, blackjack, casino stud poker and 10-slot machines will be on offer.

A national jackpot accumulator will link the Gunwharf venue with Grosvenor Casino’s 34 other outlets across the country.

Linda Marsh, who has moved from the firm’s Osborne Road venue – which continues trading – to be general manager in the new outlet, said: ‘We are really proud of our new venue. It has a great feel to it with stunning internal features and natural light.

Gunwharf Quays has been like a breath of fresh air to Portsmouth and we are excited to be part of it.’ View older pages
