PETER STORRIE's delighted for Pompey, he's delighted for the supporters, he's delighted for the players. Most of all, he's delighted for Harry Redknapp.
Wembley beckons on April 5 as Pompey face West Brom in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Not since the London War Cup have the Blues featured at the home of football – and that was back in 1942.

A time to rejoice for all who support navy blue on the south coast.
For Storrie, however, the tantalising trip is even more sweet with Redknapp on board.

It has taken little time to vindicate the former West Ham boss' decision to turn down the big bucks of Newcastle in favour of remaining at Fratton Park.

Harry was right after all.

And Storrie couldn't be any more delighted.

He said: 'That Old Trafford win was just a fantastic occasion for the club, for the supporters, for the players – and most importantly for Harry.

'For him, it is the icing on the cake after his decision to stay with us.

'It's reward for the fantastic job he has done for the football club.

'I know people will say "You're biased because he's your friend" but that's not the case at all.

'My opinion of Harry is that he is one of – if not the – best managers in the Premier League and hopefully he can go on and take us to another level.

'It's strange what's happened with Newcastle since, but these sort of things happen in football.

'I hope they do get out of it because they are a great club, they just seem to be in a bit of a freefall.

'I hope they've got it right. They deserve to remain in the Premier League because they are a huge side.

'But you look at the contrasting fortunes of both clubs since that day he turned them down.

'We've continued to grow and go on and compete for a European place and have this fantastic Cup run.

'We've also gone and won at Manchester United – surely one of the great achievements in this club's history.

'It's great credit to Harry and the players and I'm delighted.'

Today's Vote

How will Pompey fare against Cardiff in the FA Cup final?
Pompey are too good for them. We will win at a canter!
It will be tight, but Harry's boys will just nick it.
Cardiff will break Blues hearts and destroy the Cup dream!
It will go to the lottery of penalties and then it's anybody's guess!
