Jobcentre Plus has unveiled a set of employment awards for the The Local Employment Partnership (LEP) Awards 2009 for the South East to celebrate people who have helped get more than 38,000 people into jobs in their local communities in the UK.
The awards recognise South East employers, employees and partner organisations who have gone the extra mile to help people who may have been disadvantaged in the labour market get into the workplace.
Employers who have recruited through LEPs are eligible to nominate themselves, their employees and partner organisations for six awards ranging from Unlocking Talent to Recruitment Innovation.
Companies who make it through to the finals will be invited to an awards ceremony on 24 March next year, where Tim Campbell, winner of the first series of The Apprentice and founder of the Bright Ideas Trust, will reveal the names of the winners.
More details on the individual awards criteria and an online nomination form are available at www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Employers/lep/Awards_2009/index.htmlsouth east.
Nominations close on November 28.
