LOCAL firm Menzies helped put smiles on the faces of children from local charity The Elizabeth Foundation by raising funds through their annual charity quiz.
The quiz, which included 120 participants from local businesses, raised £2,000 for The Elizabeth Foundation which supports infants and pre-school children with hearing loss.
Managing Partner Graham Hosemann of Menzies accountancy and advisory said:
'Our annual charity quiz has always received a good turn out which has helped tremendously with raising the funds for the charity. I would like to thank our clients and contacts for their support in helping to raise the funds for such an important local charity.'
The Family Centre use a multi-sensory oral approach with the children, encouraging the development of speech, language and auditory training by using all of the child's senses.
Shirley Metherall founder of The Elizabeth Foundation said 'We were really touched to hear from Menzies who chose to raise money for our cause and to help us raise awareness. We participated in the quiz and couldn't believe the turnout.'
The charity quiz was held at Boathouse No.7 at the Historic Dockyard. Prizes were donated from local business and raffle tickets were sold which helped raise the sum of £2000.
