Golfers tee up a drive to help youth hospice

Almost £4,500 was raised for a children's hospice during a charity golf day.
Mitie, a property services company in Fareham, organised the fund-raiser.

The company invited other local businesses to get involved, with all money raised going to Naomi House Children's Hospice, based at Sutton Scotney, west of Winchester.

e golf challenge and auction afterwards raise a massive £4,413.

Emma Willshire, from Naomi House, said: 'Thanks to the support and enthusiasm of all the teams that took part, the total raised will make a huge difference to our hospice.

'We rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue our work, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Mitie.'

More than 16 teams took part in the event, including CEI electrical contractors, Reds Builders, Harrison Industrial, PA Beveridge Flooring, M & I Interiors, Southern Electric Contracting, PTS, ICI Dulux and Weatherby Hearn.

Additional sponsorship was also provided by Provecta, Formula Scaffold, ICI Dulux, Reds Builders and PA Beveridge Flooring.

Adrian Dawson, from Mitie, said: 'At Mitie, we feel it's really important to give something back to the communities that we work and live in.

'The day was a brilliant opportunity for us to raise funds for Mitie's regional charity with other businesses that operate in the area.'
