Highbury College students have presented their Art, Design & Fashion End of Year Show.
More than 400 guests, including parents, friends, and local employers lines up for a display of colourful talent, with two students honoured for their contributions.

Around 30 awards were on offer, but two stood out – the coveted Best of the Show accolade, and Aspex Award for Innovation.

The Best of the Show winner was Alex Healy, 19, of Tamworth Road, Portsmouth, with Paul Hems, 26, Tipner Road, Stamshaw, picking up the Aspex accolade.

Mr Healy, who presented his scuplture of a lightbulb surrounded by mosquitoes made of toothbrushes, which involved him treating the metal with acid, said: 'The lecturers were very supportive of me because I wanted to do something very different. I'm very shocked I won this prize. I'm probably speechless!'

Lecturer Maria Smith, who organised the exhibition, said: 'The end of year show is very important.'
