THREE decades of DIY were marked with a party at a store.

Andrew Fletcher commemorated 30 years of work at B&Q with a day of celebrations.

The 49-year-old, of Military Road, Hilsea has worked for the home improvement shop in the Solent area the whole of his career.

To mark his dedication, Mr Fletcher spent the morning with staff at his current B&Q store in Southampton Road, Fareham, and then went for lunch with the management team.

Mr Fletcher, a decor manager, said he has made many good friends over his career.

He said: ‘I love my job. I love meeting and interacting with all ages of people, the customers are great and the staff as well.

‘I like approaching my work with a good sense of humour.

‘Everything I do is about helping other people, that’s what it’s all about.’
