JOHNSTON Press, the parent company of The News, has won an award for its online advertising.
The company’s Ad Ops team, based in Peterborough, was named Digital Advertising Operations Team of the Year at the Association of Online Publishers awards.
The award follows a year in which the company’s digital team increased online display revenue locally by 50 per cent, with a total orders increasing by 500 per cent.
The company said the new procedure was a ‘key step’ in transforming Johnston Press into a multi-media business, from its heritage as a newspaper group.
Henry Faure Walker, Johnston Press digital and business development director, said: ‘This award is well deserved recognition for the diligence and innovation of our digital Ad Ops team, who now traffic and optimise over 6,000 online ads a week across our local websites.’
