A BUSINESS woman who began a firm after seeing a gap in the market for a baby-friendly play mat has been short-listed for two awards.

Alice Austin-Grant, who runs Hayling Island business Coconut and Chocolate, has been named in two categories in the Mumpreneur Awards.

She in the running for the best Parent Blogger award, as well as the Inspirational Business Mum 2013 category.

Alice will be looking to build on her success at February’s Business Excellence Awards, where she was named Best Start-Up of the Year.

She said: ‘I’m over the moon to have been chosen from more than 1,500 nominees. It’s a huge honour and am very grateful to the customer who nominated me. It’s so exciting and am really looking forward to the final.’

The winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference and Awards on September 30.
