HIGHBURY College is celebrating success at the regional heats of the National Apprenticeship Awards, which saw three Highbury apprentices take home awards.

The awards, run by the National Apprentice Service, recognise apprentices who have made significant contributions to their workplace.

In the south central region, Hayley James won in the higher apprentice category and Tom Cope won the advance apprentice award.

In the north west, Simon Mayell was runner-up in the advanced apprentice category. All three are undertaking apprenticeships at IBM with Highbury College.

IBM apprentice scheme leader Jez Brooks said: ‘All of them impressed with their passion, enthusiasm, and ambition.

‘Highbury apprentices have been hugely
important and a great source of talent.’
