THE Portsmouth branch of a Swedish bank is celebrating after the firm was rated top for customer satisfaction for the third year running in an independent survey of bank customers.
The 140-year-old bank came ahead of its UK high street competitors, both for satisfaction and loyalty.
Since the financial crisis began three years ago, the bank has almost doubled its British network to 112 branches.
Lorrae Hayes, branch manager of Handelsbanken Portsmouth, said: ‘Our experienced local team has real power to listen to a customer’s needs, use their initiative and local knowledge and make decisions for long-term mutual benefit.
‘We are not set sales targets nor receive pay performance bonuses which could distort this focus.’
