A SECURITY officer working for Petersfield-based ADP Security Systems has been given an award.

Ben Easterbrook was named best newcomer in the south east region at this year’s British Security Industry Association (BSIA) Regional Security Personnel Awards.

Ben, 20, has been working on a contract at the Midas Group’s Portswood Building Project since June 2012 and was praised for his determination and focus.

Keirn Bush, the firm’s business manager, said: ‘After one week of on-the-job training, Ben was then responsible for the site’s access control system, entire site security, gate house and health and safety in certain areas.

‘As a young man coming into the security industry, he shows a great deal of promise.’
