RETAIL giant BHS has launched a campaign for support after going into administration.

The firm, which has branches in Portsmouth and Fareham, will be projecting #SaveBHS on to multiple landmarks around the UK.

As previously reported in The News, the BHS shops in Cascades Shopping Centre, at Commercial Road, Fareham Shopping Centre, off West Street, and Chichester are under threat.

Dozens of staff members in the area could lose their jobs unless a buyer is found.

Now, the 11,000 staff at BHS are keen to rally the backing of the nation to prevent it from disappearing from the high street.

The 100ft image could be seen on Monday night projected on to Blackfriars Bridge, Marble Arch and Wellington Arch in London as well as the Marylebone Road, London head office.

Tony Holdway, marketing and creative director of BHS, said: ‘The #SaveBHS campaign speaks on behalf of the 11,000 staff at risk. We have received overwhelming support from staff, customers and suppliers, since the announcement.’
