A Portsmouth-based online bicycle shop is celebrating after seeing a whopping 400 per cent increase in overseas business in the past year.

The past 12 months has also seen the store, based at Northarbour Spur, win awards, build its profile worldwide, improve its website and stock an increasing number of cycles and cycling accessories.

Martin Talbot, Wiggle's director of marketing, said: "It has been a phenomenal year for Wiggle bike shop.

'Wiggle now enjoys a stellar reputation worldwide and we've seen more than 400 per cent increase in overseas business in the past year.

'This international expansion was recognised when we won the Cross Border e-Retailer of the Year title at the e-Commerce Awards for Excellence.

'We won't be resting on our laurels, though, and can assure you that in 2011 we will be working just as hard to ensure our customers continue to rate us as one of the world's leading online bike retailers.

'We wish all our customers, staff and suppliers a happy and prosperous new year.'
