PEOPLE living in the Winchester City Council district will have their bins collected a day later than usual in the week after Christmas.

The changes are being made as a result of the bank holidays for people in the area, which includes Wickham, Bishop’s Waltham and Denmead.

Reminder bin hangers will be placed on all the bins this week with details of the changes.

From Monday, January 2, collections will return to normal.

And residents who use the garden waste scheme can put out their Christmas tree with their green sack and it will be collected.

Bins need to be placed at the edge of the property’s boundary by 7am on the collection day.
