MORE than 130 marine businesses from Hampshire will be heading to the internationally-renowned Southampton Boat Show.

These companies will join nearly 600 marine brands on display at the show, which takes place from September 16 until 25.

The show will offer everything needed to have fun on the water.

British Marine, which runs the show, recently published figures that indicate the marine industry in the south east alone generates up to £868.46m in revenue, with more than 7,999 people from the region employed in the sector.

Murray Ellis, managing director, said: ‘This year’s Southampton Boat Show is Europe’s biggest boating festival with plenty of free opportunities for visitors to get out on the water for the first time.’
