SEGENSWORTH boat transport firm PSP has announced it will be the headline sponsor of the Southampton Boat Show for at least another two years.

The boat show is being held this week, and is the fifth year PSP has been main sponsor.

The firm’s managing director, Frank Dixie, said the move will allow PSP to build on its brand awareness, continue to expand its business and further cement its position within the marine industry.

PSP first agreed to sponsor the show in 2008, signing a three-year deal. But in January 2011 it extended its sponsorship for a further two years.

Frank said: ‘Five years ago we began our sponsorship of the PSP Southampton Boat Show, which was part of a major strategy that would enable us to be one of the world’s leading boat transportation companies by essentially becoming a part of the marine and sailing fraternity.

‘Having spent half a decade as sponsors, putting ourselves face to face with exactly the type of businesses we want to speak to, we now feel that we are truly a part of the marine industry and the evidence is in the many successes of PSP in recent years.’
