TWO bridal business owners have announced plans to consolidate their existing shops into a new store.
Andrew and Robert Pearce, who co-own Creatiques Boutique in Marmion Road, Southsea, and Inspired Bridal in Old Portsmouth, plan to combine their businesses under roof in Albert Road, Southsea.
Robert said the new shop will have 1,200 sq ft and an expanded range.
He said: ‘We are moving our current stores, Creatiques in Marmion Road and Inspired Bridal in Old Portsmouth under one roof, 151 Albert Road, to be able to offer a greater selection of gowns from top designer collections.
‘Marmion Road has been our home for a number of years and we will miss it, however we need to make this move to larger premises to expand our business and improve our customer offering.’
Andrew said they decorating the new shop in a ‘chic boutique’ style which has involved ordering 140m of fabric, 500 of paint and eight rolls of wall covering.
He said: ‘The internal design for the new boutique has been inspired by our recent business trip to New York.
‘The overall look will wow our brides and give them the ultimate chic ambiance, for a fabulous shopping experience for their dress of a lifetime, from the minute they walk through the door.’
He added: ‘We have a lot of hard work to do over the coming weeks to pull this all together.
‘However, our focus, as always is on our customers and clients and ensuring business continuity and excellent communication to keep everyone up-to-date with the move.
Andrew started Creatiques more than 25 years ago working from home.
The business has since gone on to win awards including twice being awarded Wedding Ideas Retailer of the Year, as well as honours in the Southern Area Business Awards and Wedding Industry Experts.
The new shop is due to open on Wednesday, July 9.
