First Hampshire picked up two awards at the First UK Bus’s South of England and Wales’ company awards.

Engineering manager Neil Moreno was crowned Engineer of the Year at the inaugural First Excellence Awards 2015. The company’s marketing and roadside publicity team picked up the Innovation and Change of the Year award.

The publicity team won the award for creating branded materials, including printed timetables, easy-to-read timetables and its fleets Eclipse in Fareham and Gosport and The Star in Portsmouth.

Managing director of First Hampshire, Dorset & Berkshire, Marc Reddy said: ‘They showed team spirit, and engaged colleagues and customers.’

There were also awards for staff at the Fareham depot.

Its engineers team won Team of the Year, while staff manager, Glenn Jones, was recognised in the Quantum Leap category.

‘This has been an incredibly proud day for the Hampshire business in seeing the achievements of some of our outstanding members of staff recognised,’ added Mr Reddy.
