AN MP has praised a business centre for helping entrepreneurs.

It comes as Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage visited the town’s Basepoint Centre in Velodrome Road.

She said fledgling businesses based there were innovating and looking to expand.

‘I always enjoy speaking to local businesspeople and was delighted to hear about their experiences at the Basepoint Centre,’ she said.

‘It’s a fantastic environment and the strong business community provides a network of support that’s invaluable to entrepreneurs.

‘I was extremely impressed by the facilities and particularly the technology available.

‘It’s wonderful to have this cutting edge business centre on our doorstep.’

Ms Dinenage has run her own manufacturing business since she was 19.

She is a member of the Business, Skills and Innovation Select Committee.
