HAMPSHIRE’S brightest businesswomen have been honoured at a glittering awards ceremony.
The Hampshire Winning Women Business Awards returned for a second year at the Langstone Hotel last week.
Founder Allison Marlowe said: ‘This event is about acknowledging the contribution these women have made to the local community.
‘We are looking for women with entrepreneurial skills and talent worth celebrating.
‘By doing so we aim to encourage even more women to follow their dreams and start a business.’
The winners were Aycin Wateridge, who walked away with the Womanpreneur of the Year grand prize; Ann Carver, for the Conquering Adversity category; Sally Thompson, for Business Mum Extraordinare; Louise Lloyd and Sharon Armstrong who shared the New Business Venture Award; Wendy Wyatt, Winner of the Heart Award and Sam Russell, for Networking Champion.
The non-profit-making event is designed to bring together the women behind Hampshire’s most innovative and successful small businesses.
