THE Guildhall in Southsea is to open its famous front doors to the public on Sunday for a boutique fair.

It’s a chance for small businesses to show off their wares, including gifts, jewellery, one-off household items and other examples of local craftsmanship.

It is the second time the Guildhall Boutique Market has been run at the Guildhall and is from 11am to 3pm.

The event is also a chance to sample the Guildhall’s newly-refurbished cafe.

It is billed by the organisers as ‘a vintage-feel indoor market to showcase local sellers – like a glamorous car boot, but without the early morning start and awful weather.’

The event will feature guest DJs playing a variety of electro-swing mixes, as well as vintage singing all set within the Guildhall, which will be filled with market stalls featuring local sellers. The Guildhall-event has grown from the original Southsea Boutique Market, based at St Swithun’s Church Hall.
