CHARITIES and community groups in Sussex are being asked to join John Lewis at Home in Chichester’s charity scheme.

The programme offers three local organisations a percentage of a £3,000 fund from John Lewis at Home in Chichester over a three-month period.

Customers decide how the fund is allocated, by using a token given to them following a purchase in the shop, to vote for the charity they would like to support.

The share available to the good causes will be proportionate to the customer votes.

Branch manager Claire Dunkason said: ‘Since opening on April 5, customers have been really receptive to our Community Matters programme and the three organisations that we are supporting from April until July.

‘We pride ourselves on being a part of the local community and we are delighted to support local causes which are close to partners’ hearts.’

Those wishing to take part in the next round of the Community Matters scheme should visit John Lewis at home Chichester to pick up a nomination form.
