A MAMMOTH golf challenge has taken place to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Phil Bennett and Simon Hoyle from Portsmouth firm Easy Group and their friend Matt Bone completed a round of golf with 72 holes, around 20 miles long, at the Hurtmore Golf Club, near Guildford.

It is a national challenge, and last year more than £335,000 was raised by participants to help people with cancer and their families.

Simon Mewett, managing director of the The Easy Group said, ‘We are delighted to support this charity. Phil, Simon and Matt have already raised nearly £2,500, which is fantastic.’

The final total will be revealed next month.
