THE new Tesco Express in Kingston Road is celebrating its opening with a donation to charity.

It opens its doors on Friday, and will present Portsmouth Lord Mayor Cheryl Buggy with a cheque for £500 to go towards the Portsmouth Festivities after she cuts the ribbon.

The festivities is an 11-day annual arts festival which this year will mark city-born author Charles Dickens’ bicentennial year.
