THE north-south divide on house prices is widening, with just one in 10 homes in some areas within financial reach for first-time buyers on average local incomes, according to a new study.

Research by search engine Adzuna.co.uk showed that Chichester is the least affordable place in the UK, while Belfast and Hull are the most affordable.

Chichester was followed by Oxford and Guildford as the least affordable cities.
