SWEET treats are in store for Gunwharf Quays shoppers next month, as luxury Swiss chocolatier Lindt opens its UK flagship store.

The red carpet will be out on August 13 for Lindt’s new customers to sample some chocolatey delights, with the first 100 through the door getting a Lindor Milk cornet as a gift.

The opening will be followed by a showcase of seven master chocolatiers giving live demonstrations of how to make the firm’s truffles and pralines.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 18, and will include free samples.

Peter Emery, centre director for Gunwharf Quays, said: ‘We are delighted that Lindt has chosen Gunwharf Quays for its next store opening, as it’s such an iconic luxury chocolate brand that fits in perfectly with our premium retail offering.

The new store will be on the ground floor of the Caen Marche part of the retail and restaurant development.

Lindt only has two other stores in the UK, in York and Cheshire.
