CHARITIES will receive a boost this Christmas from SPB UK.

The insurance company, which recently opening a new head office in Portsmouth, have combined with Reed Global by collecting chocolate selection boxes in aid of charity.

After the selection boxes are collected by staff, they are distributed to 13 charities across Portsmouth and Fareham as Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children.

Colin Whitehair, managing director of SPB UK, said: ‘At this time of year it’s especially important that we are thinking of ways in which we can help those less fortunate.

‘The gesture of knowing that someone is thinking about them is priceless.’

Having collected a total of 1,095 chocolate boxes so far, staff at SPB UK have already started raising funds for their next event – a 100m abseil down the Spinnaker Tower.
