SHOPPERS took a trip down memory lane when scores of classic cars went on display at Locks Heath Shopping Village.

The event attracted dozens of people and proved to be a busy day for members of the Locks Heath Classic Car Club.

It was the second year the club had held the event.

John Davey, who runs the club, had his orange Cobra and red 1957 MGA Coupe on show. He said: ‘It’s been fantastic.

‘It’s absolutely buzzing and busier than last year. There’s been a fantastic response.’

The event was raising cash for the Discovery Sailing Project in Sarisbury Green, a charity that gives everyone the opportunity to go sailing. For more on the club go to locksheathclassiccarclub.co.uk.
