Construction firm gets recognition for Leigh Park school project

A CONSTRUCTION company has received recognition for its work modernising and extending a school in Leigh Park.

Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure won a gold award at the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s 2016 National Site Awards for its project at Riders Infants and Junior School in Kingsclere Avenue.

The award, presented at The Mermaid in London last month, was given in the category of sites with a project value of between £500k to £5m.

Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure’s project involved new building and landscaping. The project team was commended for its outstanding community engagement, immaculate appearance, workforce safety and environmental consideration.

Scheme chairman Mike Petter said: ‘Congratulations to Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure on achieving a gold award.

‘This is an exceptional achievement and highlights how Considerate Constructors Scheme-registered sites are continually raising standards way above and beyond statutory requirements.’
