PARENTS can get the support to ensure children get the best start in life through a council scheme.

Portsmouth City Council has teamed up with the NHS to create information to help parents ‘take the right steps’ to get advice when they need it.

The council hopes to make it easy for parents to recognise information relating to their family’s needs – from pregnancy to childcare.

Catherine Kickham, from the council, said: ‘This will help make the process of sourcing information more straightforward for parents.’
