CUSTOMER loyalty has helped the Portsmouth branch of Handelsbanken contribute to the national bank’s strong annual results.

Lorrae Hayes, who manages the North Harbour branch, said: ‘We all take pride in our ability to get to know our customers well so that we can act very much as trusted partners and advisors when it matters most, in day-to-day business.’

The bank revealed a 31 per cent increase in lending in 2011, and a 44 per cent increase in customer deposits.
