SEGENSWORTH sailcloth manufacturer Contender UK has invested in cutting-edge technology to help its business.

It can now precision-cut any fabric that a sail manufacturer might want.

The firm says its investment is likewise helping other firms in the industry increase their sales by improving the service they offer.

Alastair Shires, the firm’s proprietor, said: ‘Our all-round service allows our customers to expand and streamline their own manufacturing processes, allowing them to be more efficient and therefore more competitive in a worldwide market.’

The firm was set up 26 years ago.
