A VAN dealership has signed on as a Pompey sponsor for another two years.
Portsmouth-based Breeze Volkswagen Van Centre has agreed to extend its sponsorship of Portsmouth Football Club, which started last season.
Pompey’s head of sponsorship and commercial partnerships, Anna Mitchell, said she was delighted about the deal.
Ms Mitchell said the club was always delighted with support from local sponsors.
She said: ‘We are really pleased to get Breeze Volkswagen on board.
‘Since we started working together last season, it is has become apparent there are plenty of synergies between our two operations.
‘This new deal will allow us to develop a range of exciting opportunities, which will be of benefit to all parties.
‘They are a strong, local business brand, which is just the sort of partnership the club wants to encourage.’
Breeze’s head of business, Tim Treweeks, said the firm and the football club were a good match.
Mr Treweeks said it was an exciting time to be on-board at Pompey with the club doing so well in the table.
He said: ‘Having joined halfway through the last season, we are delighted to have recently signed a further two year deal.
‘The longer-term arrangement means we can now fully develop a mutually beneficial relationship between Breeze Volkswagen and Portsmouth FC, and we are extremely pleased to be supporting the club at this exciting time when promotion is a real possibility.
‘Breeze Volkswagen’s philosophy is about loyalty and family and it therefore makes us ideal for working with Pompey.
‘And it’s a natural fit with the team colours.’
Pompey’s main sponsor is Jobsite, and other companies which support the much-loved club include the firms Sondico, Covers, OneCom and the Car Finance Company. L&S Waste Management, Greene King, Dominos, The News, Jackson Groundworks and others are also sponsors of the club.
