A STUNT bike team thrilled hundreds of shoppers with a breathtaking display of skill.

Extreme sports fans had a treat at Gunwharf Quays shopping centre at the weekend when the Zero Gravity mountain bike team performed as part of a weekend of extreme sports.

Featuring world champion freestyle bike rider Chris Doney, the group staged a free show in Gunwharf’s central square in front of hundreds of excited onlookers.

Performances took place throughout the weekend and the group were joined by Streetforce DC, Southzone Dance Academy and local artist James Waterfield, before the final Portsmouth Festivities procession departed for Southsea Common.

Peter Emery, Gunwharf Quays managing director said: ‘The extreme weekend is a great way to showcase the amazing talents in the local area while getting the community involved for a high-action event.

‘We are extremely proud to be involved with the carnival and are honoured to have the procession leaving from Gunwharf Quays.’
