A LADIES’ gym in Havant has been short-listed for a national award.

Judges picked Energie Fitness For Women out of 450 clubs that entered across the country for the Members’ Choice Health Club Awards 2012.

The award is one of the most respected in the fitness industry because it is based on members’ votes and feedback.

Club manager Angie Rose said: ‘It’s wonderful to have been short-listed amongst so many clubs that entered and it’s even better to know that this was the result of our own members.

‘We work hard to ensure they are catered for in every way and this is a wonderful way for them to thank us.’

The gym in North Street was recently featured in The News for organising a message book for the Diamond Jubilee.

Scores of people, including the mayor of Havant, Gerald Shimbart, have signed the book and it will be sent to Buckingham Palace.

Gym staff will be attending a glitzy awards ceremony in September at The Hilton in Birmingham.
