A DENTAL technician from Fareham has won a place on a national panel to take part in a Pukka Pie taste challenge.

Father-of-two Michael Clyma has become one of 100 ‘Pukka Supper Pie-oneers’ from across the UK to take part in a taste test hosted by the brand.

The challenge follows a survey by Pukka Pies that revealed 60 per cent of people in the UK are not eating a traditional meat and two veg evening meal any more, and instead are swapping proper dinners for quick-fix snacks such as crisps, sandwiches, cereals and instant soup.

The 100 participants have been provided with a month’s supply of vouchers for the company’s pies.

They have been asked to share their favourite dishes to inspire people to create their own meals at facebook.com/pukkapiespukkapies.

Mr Clyma, 50, said: ‘I’m delighted to be chosen to take part. Like most dads, mealtimes are one of the most challenging parts of the day, so I’m keen to take the stress out of supper and enjoy some hearty, warm meals.’
