PLANS for a stylish seven- bedroom family home in Warsash have been passed by Fareham Borough Council.

An application was put before the planning committee to pull down an existing property on Brook Avenue and replace it with a modern two-storey house.

The replacement house will be built in a U-shape and will be of a contemporary design.

It will stand 7.2m high and the outside will be built from natural stone, timber cladding and large glazed areas.

Chairman of the committee Cllr Nick Walker said: ‘It’s an excellent concept. If it can be put anywhere, this is the place to put it.’

Cllr Connie Hockley said: ‘Isn’t it wonderful to not have another little box with windows? I think it is magic.’

It will also have a tennis court within its 1.26 acre plot.
