Mutiny Festival brings £2.7m into Portsmouth economy

THREE companies from Portsmouth have been shortlisted as finalists in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Mark Smith from The Car Finance Company, Matt Fox from Dynamite Recruitment, and Billy McCance from Forces Support have all been nominated in three separate categories.

Mark Smith, managing director and founder of The Car Finance Company, is a finalist in the Financial Entrepreneur of the Year category.

The Car Finance Company is a specialist finance provider that serves a sector of the community ordinarily excluded from mainstream financing.

Matt Fox from Dynamite Recruitment is a finalist in the Start Up Entrepreneur of the Year category.

Matt launched Dynamite Recruitment Solutions in late 2011. In its first three years the business has expanded from two to 15 staff.

Forces Support is a finalist in the Social Enterprise Entrepreneur of the Year Category. Forces Support was set up in honour of service personnel who have lost their life in current and recent conflicts.

It provides general maintenance around the home and garden.

It was launched in 2010 by father and son partnership, Bill and Billy McCance.

The awards take place on November 19 at Old Billingsgate in central London.
